 Upcoming events

PACK 158 differs from other Cub Scout packs in that we only have Webelos I Scouts (4th grade) and Webelos II Scouts (5th grade).  The Webelos program is a transition between the Cub Scout program (grades K-3) and the Scout program (grades 6-12).  The focus of our pack is to provide boys and girls in 4th and 5th grade with a forward-looking view into Scouts, rather than backward-looking into Cub Scouts.  Our dens attend Troop 158 meetings (opening and closing) and outdoor activities when appropriate (same camp ground with shared flag ceremonies and Scout services), but with their own age-appropriate program and leadership.

RECRUITING:  Pack 158 is actively recruiting boys and girls  in 4th and 5th grade that are either new in town, former Cub Scouts, or that are new to Scouting.  We do not want to recruit from other packs in our area.  Specifically, we encourage Cub Scouts in 3rd grade to remain with their existing pack when they enter 4th grade, and we encourage Webelos Scouts in 4th and 5th grades to remain with their existing pack.

Girls in Cub Scouts:  As part of the BSA early-adopter program, an initial cohort of girls in 4th grade began enrolling in Cub Scout Pack 158 and the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) on January 15, 2018.  Cub Scout Pack 158 was the only Cub Scout pack in Montgomery County, Giles County, Floyd County, Pulaski County, or the City of Radford that was permitted by the BSA to enroll girls prior to June 11, 2018.  Now, enrollment is open for girls in both 4th and 5th grade.

ONLINE APPLICATION:  Girls and boys in 4th or 5th grade, please use the following online membership enrollment system if you are new to Scouting:
